Well, I'm 3 weeks in and I've only cried...well too many times to count. But there are a lot of good days mixed in there as well. I love learning, I enjoy the lecture, I like the hands on opportunities in the simulation labs. Mainly the issue is my social anxiety has been through the roof the past few months and it isn't letting up. We do a lot of group work, which has been helpful, but also stressful. You'd think this would go away by the time I turned 40.
Then add on today that we got to lab and went over cardiac and respiratory focused assessments. These are done on the skin. Which means skin has to be available for percussion and auscultation. This didn't quite click in my head until the TA asked for a volunteer for the demonstration and the shirt came off. Ahhh. Right. We did have privacy when we practiced so we only had to disrobe in front of 2 other classmates. But still a little awkward. Next time I'm going to opt for sports bra over the red one from Victoria's Secret.

The joys of home ownership
2nd week of May: Dishwasher stops working
3rd week of May: Microwave stops working
1st week of June: New dishwasher starts leaking
2nd week of June: Sprinkler head blows out in backyard creating a summer fountain.
2 days after that: Refrigerator starts leaking
Love it. Our house just turned 10 years old, which now I know is the lifespan of all modern appliances. I am grateful that the oven isn't attached to any plumbing, or it would no doubt be following.
Luckily I have children that are becoming more handy at addressing these issues. When the sprinkler blew out, I was still sitting in my car in the garage; just arriving home from school. Sean came bursting into the garage, grabbed a hammer and ran back into the house yelling 'I've got it!' and holding the hammer over his head. I briefly considered just backing right back out of the driveway and returning later...
Sean had helped me turn on the sprinkler system just the week before so he knew where the water turn off valve was located in the basement (and that it is so stiff, it generally requires the use of a wrench or hammer to get it turning). He got the water turned off before I even got in the house. Quick thinking! Then the following day, Rin dug up the damage head and went with Milla to Home Depot to get a replacement. All before I returned from school the following day. Thinking maybe I should have trusted a little more to my kids before this. ;)

Millionaire
'Milla Lynn Eyre. Cool. You've got your little 'millionaire' that can support you in you old age!'.
Ah well. We tried. Not sure how much they are paying animators these days, but we'll keep our fingers crossed. 😊
She's graduated, is orientated and all signed up for her first semester classes at UC Denver for the fall, and told me she WILL start coming with me to Relief Society next week after her last Young Women's hurrah going rafting this Saturday. Here's a few pictures.

| Getting the diploma. The had 4 places for students to come up as their names were called so they could keep it moving quickly with so many kids. Moved a little fast for me. |
