Park Wars

Being the first really unbelievably nice day of Spring on Monday, we just had to get out.  So we picked up some KFC and headed to Riverside park.  It was absolutely full of people- especially for a Monday- but obviously we were not the only ones that were thrilled with the 70's air and the light breeze.  We set out our picnic on the last available table, ate up, and then the kids ran off to play.  Not long after I hear Sean tearing towards us with a fake scream (which if you know Sean can escalate to a painful level ).  Nearing us, he dropped the two light sabers he had brought to the park and, in mock terror, kept running.  Not five seconds later, Thomas and 2 other little boys (unknown to me) emerged and picked up the light sabers.  Thomas turned to one little boy, held out his light saber, and said, "Okay, let's do this thing".  And away they went.  Sean battled with the boys (all 5-6 years old) for probably the next 45 minutes.  It was a sight to see.  Sean is so good with little kids.  He was in his element and they were having a blast.  Watching them, I got a little glimpse into the future of Sean as a dad.  He's going to love it (and they'll love him).
